Clearwater and Sports Reporter

I’m a born and raised South Floridian and a recent graduate of Vassar College. I have worked for Newsday on Long Island and New York City, as well as The Daily Catch, a local Hudson Valley-based digital newspaper. My childhood fascination with sports sparked my interest in journalism, and my ventures in local reporting have taught me to value all aspects of the craft. In my work, I seek to blend meaningful enterprise reporting with compelling narrative writing. I am passionate about highlighting the stories of the characters who do not hold traditional positions of influence but are vital to the fabric of our community. As the son of Colombian immigrants, I enjoy giving voice to those more comfortable sharing their perspectives in Spanish. I’m a washed-up collegiate volleyball player but still a sports aficionado, always looking to tell unique sports stories.
